Football is played by two opposing teams. Each team attempts to shoot the ball into the opponents goal. The team that scores the most goals by the end of the match is the winner.
Football pits two teams of eleven players against each other. The match takes place on an area called pitch.
Rules of bodypart usage:
Football players control the ball with all parts of their body, except for their hands. The only player who is allowed to touch the ball with their hands is the goalkeeper, the player responsible for guarding the goal. However, this is only within a limited area call 'D' area.
Offences:
When a player engages in dangarous play or ungentlemanly conduct, it is called a foul. The game is momentarily stopped and restarted again with the ball in the possition of the side of the player who the foul was against. The restart of play is called a free kick, which means the player is allowed to kick the ball without disruption from the opposition (if the faul was received inside the penalty area a penalty kick is carried out instead.)
When the ball leaves the Pitch:
If the ball goes outside the pitch, play begins again on the side of the oipponents of the player who last touched the ball. If the ball crosses the touchline, play restarts with a throw in. If the ball crosses the goalline, play begings again with either a goal kick or a corner kick depending on who last touched the ball.
What is the position (Purpose of each Position):
Player on each team cover positions which each have different roles, wuch as offence or defence. The main positions are goalkeeper, defender, mikfielder, and forward.
Each player is assigned a position, but that player is free to take on other roles during play, making football much more intriguing.
Goalkeeper(GK):
The goalkeeeper is the final bastion protecting the goal, inside the penalty area the goalkeeper can handle the ball
Defender (DF):
The defenders protect against opposing attacks.
Midfielder (MF):
The midfielders participate in both offence and defence. They can defend, delliver the ball to the forwards, and sometimes score the goals.
Forward (FW):
The forwards play to score goals.
Things to know about match (Offside position):
There is a difficult rule called an offside in football. This is the explanation of that rule.
First of all, if a player is positioned past both the ball and the second last defender on the opposing side, he is said to be offside.
Next is the explanation of the rule regarding offside is if a teamate contacts the ball (by kicking or hitting) and later... a player in a offside position contacts or attempts to contact the ball, he is defined as offside.
